Bayern Munich win Champions League as Kingsley Coman header sinks PSG

Bayern Munich overcame Paris Saint-Germain to win the Champions League for the sixth time.

Kingsley Coman's second-half header was enough to secure a 1-0 victory at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon.

Bayern were the dominant side throughout the match and had several chances to score before Coman's goal. Robert Lewandowski hit the post in the first half, while Serge Gnabry and Thomas Müller both had good chances. PSG's best chance came in the second half when Kylian Mbappé hit the crossbar.

The victory was Bayern's first Champions League title since 2013 and their first under manager Hansi Flick. It was also the club's 11th major trophy of the season, making them only the second team in history to win the treble of the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and Champions League in the same season.

PSG will be disappointed to have lost the final, but they can take heart from a strong performance in their first Champions League final. The French champions have now lost in the final twice in the last four years and will be determined to go one better next season.

Bayern's victory is a testament to the club's strength and depth. They have a squad full of world-class players and are well-coached by Flick. The German champions are now one of the most feared teams in Europe and will be looking to add to their trophy haul in the years to come.
